The Red Onion Burgundy is a perennial vegetable plant that grows best in temperate or Mediterranean climates. The plant can be grown in cooler climates, but will only produce bulbs up to a certain size. The bulbs are smaller than the ones produced by the White Onion but still have the same taste.
